LEADERSHIP
Kim Junghwan
Founder & Chief Executive Officer
Kim Junghwan is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Polaris Bio Co., Ltd., a renewable energy company specialising in waste-based biofuel across Southeast Asia and Korea.

He brings nearly two decades of experience in the biodiesel and chemical industry. Before founding Polaris Bio in 2019, he spent fifteen years with leading Korean biodiesel manufacturers, building deep expertise in the trading and development of waste-based energy products. He established the company with a clear aim: to convert industrial waste streams into clean energy and deliver measurable climate impact.

Under his direction, Polaris Bio has grown into a rare Korea–ASEAN operator in the waste-to-energy sector, supplying ISCC EU–certified biofuel. He is now driving the company's expansion into next-generation fuels. Having established waste feedstock collection points across Southeast Asia, Polaris Bio is scaling its supply network to serve the Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) and bio marine fuel markets as the decarbonisation of aviation and shipping accelerates.
Mina Choi

At the company she oversees on-the-ground operations in Malaysia and serves as the principal point of contact for external partners and stakeholders, developing cross-border carbon credit projects under Article 6.2 of the Paris Agreement.
